Nissan Powers Ahead: Exciting New EV Line-Up Announced for 2025 & Beyond
Electrifying news from the automotive world! Nissan, Britain’s biggest car manufacturer, has unveiled bold plans to supercharge its electric vehicle (EV) line-up, marking a new era of innovation, sustainability, and stylish urban driving.
Leading the charge is the much-anticipated return of the Micra—reimagined as a fully electric, compact city car. Designed in the heart of London, the all-new Micra EV is set to hit the streets in 2025, promising eye-catching style, impressive range options, and modern urban flair.
But that’s just the beginning.
Nissan will also roll out the third generation of the iconic LEAF EV, boasting a sleeker, more aerodynamic design built on Nissan’s advanced CMF-EV platform. Production is already underway at the Sunderland plant, reaffirming the UK’s role at the centre of Nissan’s global EV strategy.
In addition, an updated Qashqai e-POWER is on the way, offering improved efficiency, lower emissions, and an even smoother drive—ideal for drivers who want the EV experience without plugging in.
Looking further ahead, Nissan confirmed that the popular JUKE crossover will make its electric debut in FY2026, bringing bold design and pure EV performance to the compact SUV segment.
This electrification offensive is part of Nissan’s wider commitment to sustainable mobility and innovative driving experiences, supported by the company’s EV36Zero project, which aims to transform its Sunderland plant into a world-leading EV production hub.
