Malilla, Sweden – Brady Kurtz continued his stunning debut season in the FIM Speedway Grand Prix by securing his second consecutive win, triumphing at the Malilla round and cutting Bartosz Zmarzlik’s championship lead to just nine points.Fresh off his maiden Grand Prix victory in Gorzow last weekend, the 28-year-old Australian once again proved unstoppable, dominating the heats and storming to victory in the final.“The first win in Gorzow was cool, but this one feels just as good, no doubt,” said Kurtz. “The starts were everything today – they were unbelievable. My team gave me the perfect bike to do it, and I just had to deliver.”### Kurtz in ControlKurtz dropped only two points during the heats, earning one of the two automatic spots in the final alongside Britain’s Dan Bewley. Five-time world champion and current series leader Bartosz Zmarzlik was forced to battle through the Last Chance Qualifier after a difficult run in the heats but managed to claim his place in the final alongside fellow qualifier Jack Doyle.In the final, Kurtz and Zmarzlik went wheel-to-wheel on the opening lap before Doyle crashed out, prompting a re-start. On the restart, Kurtz seized control once again, leaving Zmarzlik unable to mount a comeback and settling for second. Bewley completed the podium in third.With just three rounds remaining, the championship race is tighter than ever, with Kurtz now just nine points adrift of Zmarzlik at the top of the standings.### Kurtz Reflects on Form and Future“It’s been a good two weeks,” Kurtz reflected. “I’ve never raced at some of the upcoming tracks, but I’ll learn quickly. I’m looking forward to the challenge. New tracks are always fun, and I’m not going to lay down—I’m going to keep chasing.”The Australian was the only rider to automatically qualify for both finals across the last two GPs, a testament to his consistency and confidence.“I’m not sure what it’s down to, but my goal this season was to be consistent.
